The story recounts Julie’s childhood, where she had a close relationship with her father, while her mother was more pragmatic. One day, Julie finds an injured rabbit and tries to nurse it back to health. However, the constant scratching of the bunny in its box under her bed becomes unbearable for the family. Eventually, Julie’s mother takes matters into her own hands and kills the rabbit with a shovel.
