La femme aux cigarettes : Road House ( En Anglais seulement)

L’histoire se déroule dans l’État de Washington, à la frontière du Canada, dans une petite ville dont le potentat local est joué par un jeune Richard Widmark. Son ami d’enfance (Cornell Wilde) tient pour son compte le bar-restaurant local. Tout se complique quand Widmark fait venir de Chicago une belle et triste chanteuse (Ida Lupino) dont les deux hommes vont tomber amoureux

Road House

Jefty, owner of a roadhouse in a backwoods town, hires sultry, tough-talking torch singer Lily Stevens against the advice of his manager Pete Morgan. Jefty is smitten with Lily, who in turn exerts her charms on the more resistant Pete. When Pete finally falls for her and she turns down Jefty’s marriage proposal, they must face Jefty’s murderous jealousy and his twisted plots to “punish” the two.
